There's a reason certain pieces come back into the wardrobe every autumn.

A good waxed jacket. A comfortable pair of corduroy trousers. A flannel shirt you can wear on its own or under a few layers.

They're familiar for a reason, and this week's Style Edit brings a few of them together.

We've started with theBarbour Hereford Waxed Jacket. A classic outer layer with plenty of character, and one that works just as well with jeans as it does with smarter trousers.

What we like about COUNTRY is that none of these pieces are restricted to one particular setting. Wear the waxed jacket with jeans at the weekend, the corduroy trousers with knitwear during the week, or bring the full outfit together when the temperature drops.

It's classic autumn dressing, without needing to make much of a fuss about it.
